Our clinical staff is knowledgeable, experienced and eager to answer questions or explain procedures to you. Our business staff is responsive to your scheduling requests and happy to assist with concerns related to billing or other issues.

Riley Armstrong

Business Assistant

Riley attended New Mexico State University and studied Electrical Engineering. She has worked in the field of dental health for more than a decade and joined Dental Health by Herre in 2008. Riley checks out patients and assists with other front desk operations.

Before becoming immersed in the world of dentistry, Riley was a full-time wife, mom and volunteer. When not at work, she enjoys time with her family, the arts, gardening and spectator sports.

"I am very pleased to be part of the caring and competent Herre dental team," she says. "The people here are wonderful and have quickly become a second family."

Fern Aron, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Fern earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has been a member of the Dental Health by Herre team since 1989. Prior to that, she worked in general dentistry and periodontal specialty practices. Fern is a member of American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She serves as a product evaluator for Clinical Dentistry Journal. Eager to learn the latest dental hygiene techniques, Fern accumulates over 20 hours of continuing education per year and is certified in administration of local anesthesia. Her focused attention and interest is in periodontal therapy.

"With over 30 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist, I recognize what a privilege it is to work in such a great office, and I especially value the relationships I have been able to build and maintain with our patients," says Fern. "Acting as an educator and being involved in improving the periodontal health of my patients is the most rewarding aspect of my career."

Denice Cahill

Clinical Dental Assistant

Denice entered the world of dentistry as a part-time assistant for Dr. Scott. She was also working in another field at the time, but enjoyed her work with Dr. Scott so much that she decided to pursue dental health care as a full-time profession in 1991. She is a graduate of the Schuster Center for Professional Development and earned an associate’s degree in Marketing from Johnson County Community College. Denice enjoys exercising, outdoor activities, travel, home improvement and decorating as well as photography. After raising four boys, Denice is looking forward to future grandchildren that she can spoil.

Teresa De Camargo, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

In 2007 Teresa joined Dental Health by Herre, bringing with her 35 years of experience in dental hygiene. She received an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Penn Valley Community College in 1971 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1974. To stay current on dental hygiene trends and to better educate patients, Teresa accumulates over 20 hours of continuing education every year. She is also a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and the UMKC Alumni.

"I love meeting new and old patients when they come in, and ultimately I enjoy the challenge of assisting them in improving their smile and maximizing their appearance and health," she says.

Mary Field

Scheduling Coordinator

Mary was born and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to Kansas City in 1982. She earned certification as a Dental Assistant from Des Moines Community College and has worked in the dental field for several years; some of those as a chair-side assistant. If you need to schedule an appointment, Mary can help. She schedules comprehensive appointments for new patients and works with current patients to schedule preventive, restorative and esthetic treatments and care. Mary enjoys spending free time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

"I have enjoyed working for Dr. Craig and Dr. Scott in the business office since 1995," says Mary. "I am very fortunate to work with such wonderful people."

Brenda Fonseca, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Brenda earned an Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Johnson County Community College in 1998. Upon becoming a licensed and Board Certified Dental Hygienist, she began working at Dental Health by Herre. Brenda maintains a broad-based knowledge of current dental strategies by attending over 20 hours of continuing education meetings each year. She is certified in CPR, as well as the administration of local anesthetic and nitrous oxide. Brenda especially enjoys treating children and young adults. She is a life-long resident of Overland Park, Kansas, where she resides with her husband, Danny.

"I enjoy my relationships with my co-workers and my patients," says Brenda. "When I'm not treating patients, I enjoy spending team with friends and family and scrapbooking, I have a passion for physical fitness, which includes aerobics, running, spinning and strength training. In 2002, I accomplished a personal goal when I completed the Avon Breast Cancer Three-Day, 60-mile walk in California, an event that raised over $6 million for breast cancer research."

Haley Knag, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Haley is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearny. She earned an Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Johnson County Community College and has been working in the dental field as a treatment coordinator and dental hygienist since 2002.

Haley performs x-rays, hygiene instruction and prophylaxis (cleaning) for patients. She enjoys learning about new advances in dentistry through continuing education and clinical experience. Haley serves as the Treasurer for The Dental Hygiene Alumni Association of Johnson County Community College. In her spare time, she enjoys sand volleyball and softball.

Sue Kriss

Practice & Financial Administrator

Sue was a patient at Dental Health by Herre long before she began to work at the office. She earned an Associate Degree in business administration from Johnson County Community College and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications in 1991. In her role as Practice & Financial Administrator, Sue presents fees to patients with extended treatment plans and explains financial policies. She manages accounts receivable and the day-to-day operations of the practice. Sue has more than 20 years of experience in health care marketing and administration.

"I believe we have a great team here who are genuinely interested in building relationships with our patients, and who are concerned about the patients’ well-being," she says.

Louise Stang

Receptionist/Greeter

Louise is a graduate of Milligan College, in Tennessee. She was a full-time mother for 25 years as well as a patient of the practice for many years. In 1987, she was asked to work in the business office on a part-time basis. In 1993, she became a full-time employee. "I feel privileged to work for three wonderful dentists in a friendly and happy atmosphere," she says. "Working here is truly fun!"

Casey Walsh

Clinical Dental Assistant

Casey attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, and the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She began working as a clinical dental assistant for Dr. Craig in 1989. Casey is a graduate of the Schuster Center for Professional Development, Scottsdale, Arizona.

"My family has trusted Dr. Herre with our dental care long before he employed me," she says. "I’m married and have a daughter in college. I enjoy gardening, exercising, shopping, decorating and spending time with my family.

Angela Zyung

Clinical Dental Assistant

Angela completed the Dental Assisting program at Pulaski Vo-Tech School, in North Little Rock, Arkansas and has worked as a dental assistant since 1987. She joined the staff of Dental Health by Herre in 2000. Angela serves as a chair-side assistant for Dr. Craig and Dr. Tim. She also takes impressions for models, pours models, takes x-rays and tracks laboratory cases to make sure they’re back on time.
